From the Airport

Blogging from the airport! Haha.
So we're off to India and I'm fairly excited (mainly about the picture opportunities that Kerala will offer *squee*). :D And I'm bringing my laptop along for once!

Too bad we're landing in the middle of the night.

I'm flying after a year!

A short getaway (not entirely)

Leaving tomorrow for Kerala! I'm really pretty chuffed about this fact because I've never gotten the opportunity to visit Kerala proper. Not that this is proper, since I'll only be there for 4 days, and two of those days will be spent at the family function, but it's better than nothing.

For a change, work will come with me on this holiday :P

Lalala I know that's a lousy rhyme but I don't careeee. I'm so glad I backed this team right from last year and after being at the bottom of the table last year, how they have rewarded their fans for their backing :D :D Brilliant match, and though I feel for Jammy and his team, RP with the purple cap= extra-awesome and Gilly madly jumping around the field= SQUEE. So there ends the IPL with it's ups and downs and I must confess, this result is utterly unexpected but thoroughly welcome.

Ok, end of my cricket rambling! *still in a happy daze* Byeee

DECCAN WON SEMIS ON FRIDAY. I'm STILL in shock. And Banglaore won Chennai yesterday so that means last year's wooden spoon holders are playing this year's finals today. How fortunes twist. :D

I'm still a bit nervous for Deccan, but it promises to be an exciting match. But for now, I have to head to that place which I dread most on Sundays- Little India. HIM galore :( Bleagh.

Isn't it ironic how I post less in the holidays then during term time? :P

In any case, this week has been super tiring with daily meetings from 9 onwards and proposals and what not. Basically, my brain is staying well-oiled this hols :P

But I must say I'm enjoying this sojourn in C block WAY more than I enjoyed my one year in A block, because it's great having nice neighbours and being able to leave your door open and have others do the same. There's music and videos that can be heard from the various rooms and everyone's just walking in and out and people walk into each other's rooms freely and it's like the corridor is an extension of our rooms, which is what hall life is supposed to be like, right? So yes, in that sense, I'm having a pretty good time.

On the other hand, my pocket money drains faster than it comes. Eating out for every meal is horribly expensive. So hoorah weekend, where I don't have to pay for my meals! :P

Can't wait to get home and watch IPL. DECCAN DELHI SEMIS TODAY HOMG. I'm scared for Deccan. I'm not sure they can beat Delhi. OK better pack before the 'rents get here. Toodle!

Sun, Sand and Shopping.

Officially an awesome day. So Ben and I were supposed to have a picnic at Pasir Ris Park, but it turned into a let's-eat-at-the-mall-and-just-walk-around-the-park hehe. But no regrets! Because we got to watch Angels and Demons (which is nice as a movie- not that I've read the book, I'll be attacking that soon) and then we stopped at this booksale on the second floor of the new wing of Downtown East and we got some awesome stuff (at least I did)! I finally found omnibuses of those books which were highlights of my library visits in my childhood-- the Usborne Puzzle Adventures. :D
I loved them then and apparently I love them now. Splurged on two omnibuses (as if the amount I spent yesterday was not enough- which I will talk more about later). I am a happy girl :)

Yesterday was my shopping spree day with Nivi which was also awesome. I bought a lappie skin, lappie cover, a Murakami book and a shirt (FINALLY!!). Well annoyingly, the cover didnt fit when I came home and tried, but I can exchange it, so I'll be doing that on monday! But the skin is pretty!

AND I'm in love with my shirt, which I don't have pictures of because I should keep some element of surprise in my life. :P

Oh and yesterday we ate at Marche! Nivi's first time there (seriously, HOW is that possible!), and it was good stuff. Pikchas~

Two good days, with good food and good company. Good week overall, cept for the part where Deccan Chargers LOST grah. But ok whatever I will not despair. Because if all goes well, more good things will be coming my way :D

Funny Llama Fuzzy Llama

I'm in a rather good mood today because

1. I finally met Nivi after HOW LONG hello.
2. We were very efficient and good (mainly Nivi, but I wasn't too bad either hehe) with cleaning my new room in hall.
3. Hehe I was watching the Llama song again, which is adorable stuff.
   
4. Deccan Chargers won lalala party :D Ok not party yet but YAY a victory and boy, did we need one or what.

So that's my day. :)

Ha it's funny (not really)-- I feel oddly cut off.

I hate feeling like I rather have school and exams, but the fact is that life just has more purpose when school's on.

Ok that's just sad. I can't believe my life loses direction and purpose when school's out.
I think EHOC will be good for me.

Sidenote: they're playing maahi ve at the cricket ground during IPL- couldn't they find a better song?!

So the day was a little roller-coaster-ish, but it's all turned out good in the end. :)
And my health is looking up considerably too.

And the icing on the cake- a Deccan Chargers' victory!

Pay No More Than Absolutely Zero.

Exams are over, but I'm not celebrating.

Pretty sure I flunked badly, but I'm trying not to think about that.

To top everything off, I'm down with the flu, which explains why I've been MIA even though exams are over. I'll update properly when I'm better and when my head stops feeling like I've got brains made of lead (although I guess it wouldn't surprise me if I did, considering how little my brain absorbed when I was studying).
